What better place to cap off this amazing We Day season than in Canada’s capital!

National We Day-Canada is right around the corner, and I can’t wait to meet the thousands of youth who earned their tickets through service work. I’m so inspired by the youth in Ottawa and surrounding areas – in the past year, you’ve turned your passions into plans for action, and what a success you were, and continue to be.

On April 9, National We Day-Canada will bring those 16,000 students, educators and supporters together at the Canadian Tire Centre to celebrate change – and the talent lineup for National We Day-Canada (with more to be revealed!) includes:

  • Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan
  • Martin Luther King III – Human Rights advocate and eldest son of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
  • National Chief Shawn A-in-chut Atleo – National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations
  • Simple Plan – JUNO Award-winning band
  • Kardinal Offishall  – Award-winning Canadian rapper and record producer
  • JRDN – Canadian R&B recording artist
  • Gen & Jas (The Oducado Twins) – MuchMusic Coca-Cola Covers Winners
  • Craig and Marc Kielburger – International activists and co-founders of Free The Children
  • Spencer West – Me to We inspirational speaker, Free The Children ambassador, author and double amputee who climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro
  • Molly Burke – Visually impaired Me to We inspirational speaker, Free The Children ambassador and author, who speaks about bullying and the power of hope
  • Hannah Alper – 11-year-old Me to We inspirational speaker, Free The Children ambassador, blogger and youth activist
  • Vishal Vijay – Youth speaker

Stay tuned for more exciting names to be announced soon!

National We Day-Canada is free of charge to the thousands of students and educators in attendance, thanks to the generous support of sponsors led by National Co-Title Sponsors RBC and TELUS. Learn more about National We Day-Canada here.

Hi Colleen! Unfortunately, you can’t buy a ticket for We Day – kids and teenagers earn their way into the event by doing one local and one international action. For more information, click here.

Thank you Tashina! What kind of campaigns or acts did you do to earn your ticket to We Day? Also, let me tell you, that you are going to have the time of your life. From not only being on the We Day stage, but from being in the audience at Waterloo We Day in 2012, I have found that the energy in the stadium is truly astounding.
