This is a video that I want everyone to see. “True Colors” by some of my favourite Canadian artists who got together to call themselves “Artists Against”. They include Jacob Hoggard of Hedley, Lights, Pierre Bouvier of Simple Plan, Fefe Dobson, Kardinal Offishall, Alyssa Reid, and Walk Off The Earth . They all came together for Bullying Awareness Week! It is to support Kids Help Phone. Kids Help Phone is a phone number for kids and teenagers to call and there is always someone there to listen and to talk to you to help you with a problem big or small. Sometimes it’s hard for kids to talk to their parents, teachers or friends about bullying and Kids Help Phone is there for you. Bulling is not fair. I wish that people would treat people the the way that they want to be treated themselves.
Being a bully does not make you cool.
Being a bully does not make you popular.
Being a bully does not make you tough.
Being a bully does not make you smart.
Being a bully makes you stupid.
End of story.
I hope that the more we talk about bullying, the less it will happen.
This song is available to purchase on iTunes. All of the money will go to support Kids Help Phone. If you enjoy the video and the song, go buy it. I did.

Hannah – as always, you are raising the bar – taking the stand for all in your generation and even those of us who later in life face bullying as adults. We stem the tide with every forward movement and it makes me so happy to see you carrying the flag! So, here are a few more…
Being a bully breeds hatred
Being a bully will not make you happy
Being a bully makes you miserable

Thank you Ana! This is such a nice comment! I’m glad you came up with more ideas about bullying. Bullying is wrong and has become a very serious cause, we need to stop it. Happy new year!

hi hannah;
thanks very much for sharing, sometimes people…and i mean adults…can talk the living daylights out of things without accomplishing much. you laid it all out simply and honestly, and that’s just perfect.
i’ve shared your post on our facebook page so kids and grownups in windsor, ontario and detroit, michigan can learn from you.

My name is Bill and I was bullied mercilessly as a boy. I began to play guitar and developed a love for he blues. For many years I just practiced music to escape. To this day, even though I’ve been nominated for many major awards, including a Juno last year, I feel people don’t like me. That is the scar thats left by the bullies. This has gone on for too long. As human beings we have now evolved beyond violence. Only the few remain, to perpetuate the practice. It if confrontation like this that will end it here in Canada or the USA and around the world maybe. Is this the action that plants the seeds that create wars.

Thank you so so so much Bill! This is so cool that I’m getting a comment from a singer! That’s too bad you got bullied, like you someone just has to find something their interested in to escape the bullying! A lot of people have been killed for who they are and it’s not right. I want bullying to stop everywhere. It’s good to know that someone else cares about bullying so much. It’s not right that bullies do it for fun. The more we talk about bullying, the less it will happen. Congratulations with your awards and happy new year!
