Today, I received an email from SarahJane McNaughton, Promotions Coordinator of Rogers Kitchener Radio Group (CHYM 96.7, 570 NEWS, COUNTRY 106.7) letting me know I’ve been recognized with an Above & Beyond Award!
They say: This week we shine the spotlight on a young girl who is helping to change the world for the better.
Hannah Alper has gained international attention for devoting her time and energy to trying to save the planet from environmental deterioration. She has been called “the future of social media”, “eco-warrior”, “changemaker” and “activist.”
Unbelievably articulate for her age (she is 10 years old), Hannah was one of the guest speakers last week at the Free The Children We Day event at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium. “You don’t have to be a scientist, like David Suzuki, to change the world. You can just be a person doing good, and you’re never too young to change the world. You know we’re all the agents of change of our generation and we can all do amazing things.”
To find out more about Hannah’s mission, go to her website – callmehannah.ca
You can listen to the announcement here above and beyond – nov. 25, and thank you to my new friends at the stations, I truly appreciate you thinking of me!
Congratulations Hannah on being on the radio! Great job!
